Here%u2019s my method: write, write, and write - write - when something%u2019s coming to me. Write flippantly, earnestly, experimentally, prosaically, shitilly most oftenly, messianically, whatever. I try not to do homework, to borrow the pejorative usage from Saul Steinberg. And when nothing%u2019s coming, I figure out what the hell it was I wrote the other day.
