is a surreal satire of our TV-obsessed culture, shot through with catch
phrases, programme titles, and Hollywood look-a-likes. It is dark and
terrifically absurd, with echoes of Kurt Vonnegut and Thomas Pynchon.

Adding a Spurl Me Button to Your Blog

I have been using Spurl.net for more than a month now and I wanted to add a button to my site that a user could click to add me to their Spurl bookmarks. I know that most Spurl users already have the bookmarklet installed in the browser, but a button would let me control how I was Spurled.

As you can see the code is nothing; I pulled it out of the official Spurl bookmarklet. The next thing I wanted was on of those cool CSS buttons, so I went to Adam Kalsey’s Buttonmaker, and after a little fiddling I came up with this:

Now, all you need to do is drop the link and the image reference into your blog’s template.

That is pretty much it.

I’m tied to my Palm Vx and Outlook for most of my planning and all of my calendaring but still prefer to do mind-mapping and data collection with paper and pen. There’s something about writing it down that commits information to my memory more than typing it into Outlook or doodling it on a PDA does for me.

He took one look at the old, cheap, spiral bound notebook I was using and said “you’re still using those pieces of crap? Do you know about these?” He then handed me his moleskine. Hardback, nice paper, solid binding, pocket in the back. Very nice notebook. He then sent me a couple URLs of people describing the different ways they use them.
